Emergency Preparedness Week is May 2-8, 2021.
Western joins institutions across the country in marking the annual event used to encourage Canadians to be better prepared for emergencies.
Western’s weather siren will go off shortly after noon on Wednesday, May 5 followed by a test of Alert WesternU, the university emergency mass notification system, at 12:30 p.m. No action is needed. These are only tests.
All Western students, faculty and staff with a current UWO.ca email address, including the affiliated university colleges, are automatically subscribed to the system and will receive email notifications. If you have customized your account to include a mobile number, you will also receive a text message.
For more information on customizing your account see detailed instructions.
