Emergency Communication Channels

Communication in an emergency situation will be made available to the Western campus community through a variety of resources:

Alert WesternU:  In the event of an incident on campus, emergency notifications and critical communications will be issued through the OnSolve MIR3 Mobile App SMS text messaging and email to all campus community members with a current UWO email address including affiliates.  Use of the OnSolve MIR3 Mobile App significantly increases the speed of notifications over text messaging and emails which can often be delayed in an emergencies when cellular traffic is extremely high and can overwhelm cellular carriers.  Standard message rates may apply for text messages. 

Western Emergency Management strongly encourages use of the OnSolve MIR3 Mobile App, which is available for both Apple and Android platforms.
